Regio - New Call for Proposals in the Field of Tourism for the South-West and Centre Regions

Over 17 million shall be made available to those interested in accessing non-reimbursable European funds for new tourism development projects. Financing is provided under the Regional Operational Programme 2007-2013 (Regio), Axis 5, Key area of intervention KAI 5.2 "Creation, development, modernisation of the tourism infrastructure for valorisation of natural resources and for increasing the quality of tourism services".

Today, 12 September, the Managing Authority of the Regio programme within the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism (MRDT) announced the launch of a new call for proposals for KAI 5.2.

 

Thus, as of 23 October 2012, at the headquarters of the South West Oltenia Regional Development Agency and of the Centre Regional Development new applications for financing in the above mentioned area can be submitted.

The call for proposals benefits from an indicative budget in amount of 17.84 million euros, of which about 14.23 million euros are allocated to the South-West region, the remaining of about 3.61 million euros going to the Centre region. The call for proposals operates under a continuous submission until 50% of the financial allocation has been exceeded.

The launch of the is aimed at covering the financial allocation for KAI 5.2 of the Regio programme.

For the period 2007-2013, Regio has an indicative budget of 4.3 million euros, of which about 3.5 million represent non-reimbursable European funds allocated to Romania from the European Regional Development Fund. On 3 September, the Regio programme had a contracting rate of 94.67% (on the allocated ERDF amounts), corresponding to the 3158 financing contracts signed with beneficiaries.
